We are excited to announce a new milestone reached together with an Italian automotive company! Systema S.p.A. has been chosen as a partner for the optimisation of energy consumption, actively contributing to their path of environmental sustainability. ✅🎯💚🌍
The objective? To streamline processes, reduce environmental impact and achieve the ambitious decarbonisation targets set for 2050. A complex project that required expertise and teamwork from the entire Systema team, consisting of Enrico Bettin, Giulio Marconato, Alessandro Chiggiato, Daniele Mezzi, Laura Di Fede and Stefania Buttolo.
The challenge: moving a 4 MW absorber in tight spaces 🤔💡🤩
The main challenge was to transport a 4 MW absorber, weighing an impressive 50 tonnes, within the confined space of the hall. Enrico Bettin's ingenuity made it possible to overcome this obstacle: the absorber was transported in two parts and assembled directly at the point of installation.
To do this, a 'slinger' of adequate capacity was built, using the overhead crane already present in the structure. This innovative solution made it possible to 'fly' the absorber over the existing machinery, positioning it precisely at the predetermined point.
An important milestone for sustainability 🌳💚🌍
The Systema absorber energy station completes the high-efficiency trigeneration plant at the Cuneo factory. The company can now rely on energy from renewable sources, reducing CO2 emissions by 18,000 tonnes per year. 😲🤩
This milestone represents an important step for Systema, in line with its emissions reduction policy. 🎯
