Systema ‘flies’ another 800 kW, 14 ton absorber into an Italian hospital

No! This is not a joke despite the fact that the absorber has once again been split into 2 in order to be installed in the underground of this major hospital company
As in the previous installation for an Italian company in the automotive sector, Systema S.p.A. once again demonstrated its ability to adapt its solutions to very different contexts.
The objective?
Efficiency in an environmentally friendly way to fully utilise the thermal energy of the hospital's cogenerators and produce environmentally friendly cold water.
This complex project also required expertise and teamwork from the entire Systema team, consisting of Enrico Bettin, Giulio Marconato, Alessandro Chiggiato, Daniele Mezzi, Laura Di Fede and Stefania Buttolo.
The challenge: moving an absorber in very confined spaces
The main challenge was to transport an 800 kW absorber, weighing an impressive 14 tonnes, within the extremely confined space of the hospital's underground. In addition to this, Systema also used special supports to reassemble the absorber correctly at the installation point with high precision.
An important milestone for sustainability
The Systema absorption energy station completes the trigeneration plant. The hospital can now rely on energy from renewable sources, reducing CO2 emissions.
This milestone represents an important step for Systema, in line with its policy of reducing emissions.
